Dr. Bailey is a SCAD Alumni originally from Springfield, GA. For the past 26 years she has lived in Bali, Indonesia. As a visual and performing artist, minister, chaplain and Trauma-informed expressive arts therapist her work has taken her around the world.
Much of her visual art work in this exhibition is inspired by her life experiences. She has studied forms of Indonesian traditional art, dance and music. The intersection of Art and spirituality has been her life passion and was the focus of her dissertation. In her work she explores the importance of imagination, creativity and curiosity in developing an integrated life. This exploration has also developed to her teaching master classes with opera singers, musicians, as well as forming a dance and music exploration improv group. It all started here in Savannah when a small town girl started SCAD in 1994… and the rest is history
Join us for a discussion and workshop on February 25 from 1pm-4pm
This discussion will be on how art life and faith can be integrated authentically and respectfully for ourselves and in how we interact with others.
Following the discussion, join Dr. Bailey for an interactive arts workshop exploring topics that come up during the discussion. Visual art materials will be provided, If you play an instrument bring one, and wear comfortable clothing that will allow for movement. This will be an organic process.

Caring for Self and Caring for Others: A safe space for ministers to process trauma
Ministers show up and care regardless of the circumstances. Through the lens of trauma-informed expressive arts therapy, participants will learn how to recognize trauma signs, both large and small, in themselves as well as those they care for and explore healthy ways to release the stress that gets stored in the body.
